We were excited to bring Swiss to our herd because her maternal line is known for parasite resistance and less frequent hoof trimming, as well as gorgeous toplines and tightly-attached udders. Her paternal line is a very strong one and one of our favorites out of Green Gables (Cali’s Grand Finale). We found out during 2024 kidding that she has her dam’s chocolate gene!Swiss was standoffish at first, but after freshening, has become one of our favorite does! She's super calm and even mannered. She's averaging 5.5% butterfat and about 3.6lbs of milk as an FF. Take that with a grain of salt, though - we're having a lot of trouble finding good alfalfa this year due to the neverending rain the past two springs. She has the best foreudder out of all our Mini Nubian FFs, and second best out of ALL our Mini Nubians - her aunt Honey has just a tiny bit better attachment.
