No I didn't ask him to pose, he is just always that magnificent and photogenic. We picked up Spike because we were so impressed with his more than 3/4 sisters Iris and Marigold, (his mother is their grandmother). His lines carry excellent feet, tightly attached udders, hardiness, and great conformation, which fits our goal of continuing to improve the breed. Her mother was Krystal-Kreek Godiva Dream (Diva), a self colored (all brown) toggenburg with excellent conformation, udder, and production. Diva was out of Krystal-Kreek Art Deco, who had nearly perfect linear appraisal, by Quality-Crest Secret Cruise, (from reknowned breeder Jeff Klein). Peanut is small like both her parents, but with great body capacity and good bone. So far she has all the attributes we hoped for from the cross! A real Royal Golden Guernsey! One of the last remaining, he is an embryo transfer miracle thanks to Gloria Andrews in Georgia who has entrusted this little treasure to my care. He is a ray of sunshine, adds a little hop and twirl to all his movements, and has a full zoomie hour every evening. He is very dairy, his sire has proven himself with some fine well known offspring with great udders - see picture. His dam has been used for embryo transfer rather than live breeding so we don't have pictures of her udder.
