Max is the kind of bull that commands attention the moment you see him. This stunning 50% Highland, 25% Hereford, 25% White Park cross carries the best of all three breeds — a striking red coat, a bold white belt and face, and a gentle, exceptional temperament that makes him an absolute joy to work with. At six years old he is in his prime and his calf record speaks for itself. Max has sired some of the most beautiful and sought-after calves we have ever produced at Shenandoah Highlands. His daughter Blossom sold for $8,000, and his latest daughter Clover — a breathtaking black and white panda-marked mini heifer out of our Miniature Highland cow Iris — has already generated tremendous excitement. That two full sisters from the same dam could produce such dramatically different and beautiful color patterns speaks volumes about the genetic depth Max brings to our program. Beyond his striking good looks and impressive calf record, what sets Max apart is his disposition. He is exceptionally sweet — calm, people-friendly, and trustworthy — a quality we are proud to see passed along reliably to his offspring. Max is not for sale and will remain with us as our herd sire — but his calves are available seasonally and we expect them to continue turning heads for years to come.

    HighlandCow (female)dun
    unregistered# DOB: 7/6/20206 yrs
Iris is a beautiful registered Miniature Highland cow with a classic dun coat and a gorgeous set of horns that perfectly embody everything the breed is known for. At six years old she is a mature, generally well-mannered cow with a quiet presence on the farm. Iris has proven herself as a producer of truly exceptional calves. Last summer she gave us a wonderfully sweet and healthy heifer, and this summer she has outdone herself with Clover — a stunning black and white panda-marked mini heifer by our herd sire Max that has absolutely taken our breath away. Iris is a wonderful mother and her genetics speak for themselves in every calf she produces. Iris is registered with the International Miniature Cattle Breeders Registry (IMCBR) and is bred to our herd sire Max — a striking 50% Highland, 25% Hereford, 25% White Park cross known for his beautiful calves and exceptional temperament. We cannot wait to see what she produces next. Iris is not for sale and will remain with us — but her calves are among the most beautiful and sought-after we have ever produced.

    Details

Born here at Shenandoah Highlands in July 2026, Clover is a panda-marked black and white mini heifer that is unlike anything we have produced before. The daughter of our IMCBR registered Miniature Highland cow Iris and our herd sire Max — a 50% Highland, 25% Hereford, 25% White Park cross — she arrived in the world looking just like her father, but in bold black and white instead of red. The result is one of the most striking calves we have ever laid eyes on.
Clover is the full sister to our previous heifer Blossom, who found her forever home and left quite an impression on everyone who met her. Clover is shaping up to be every bit as special. She is healthy, vigorous, and thriving, and we have chosen to bottle feed her to give her the very best start in life and the most people-friendly temperament possible. It is already paying off — she is calm, curious, and comfortable around people.
Both of Clover's parents are registered with the International Miniature Cattle Breeders Registry (IMCBR), making her fully eligible for registration as well. As a mini she will remain a manageable size while carrying the full beauty, hardiness, and gentle spirit of her Highland heritage.
Panda-marked cattle are exceptionally rare. A black and white mini Highland cross heifer with two registered parents, a bottle-fed temperament, and the genetics to back it all up simply does not come along often. She will be fully vaccinated and started on a halter when she leaves. She will be ready to go as a bottle baby in September, or fully halter trained and reined in January.
Don't miss out on this special girl! Please feel free to ask any questions, or set up a time to meet her.
