When we started Outstanding Dreams Farm in 2007, neither Vickie nor I would have ever imagined what the future had in store. Eight years ago, we embarked on this venture with two bred females and a cria at his mom's side. Today, our herd of 35 includes some of the top bloodlines in the nation. One of those alpacas is Crown’s Jewel, a stunning medium silver grey Huacaya who will always hold a special place in our hearts.   Sired by Casanova’s Peruvian Crown Prince, the two-year old Jewel has already won two blue ribbons, winning her class in both her show appearances. She is currently scheduled to be bred to A Pacafun’s Super Sonic, an elite gray with fourteen championships. Her cria is bound to be spectacular!   Just this past week, we closed on the sale of Jewel to Dancing Elk Alpacas, an alpaca farm in Livingston, Montana. Yes, you read that right - Montana. Jewel will soon be heading west on the trip of a lifetime to her new home with Kim and Mike Quesenberry, the lovely owners of Dancing Elk Alpacas in Livingston, Montana.   When it comes to selling alpacas with bloodlines like Jewel, distance becomes irrelevant. Within a day of listing Jewel on our website, we received the inquiry. Kim and Mike recognized Jewel’s “outstanding” qualities immediately, and we couldn’t have asked for a more wonderful home for our special girl! We have worked very hard to cultivate these excellent bloodlines, and it is incredibly exciting for us to see the results. Recently, while out vaccinating the herd, Vickie and I had the chance to look at the fleece of our crias from the past year. I can honestly say that we couldn’t have been more excited. There are big things in store for these babies, and we can’t wait to see what the future will bring.   One of our main goals here at Outstanding Dreams Farm is to breed alpacas of the caliber that appeal to established breeders who recognize quality animals when they see them. The sale of Jewel was a very difficult decision for us to make, but it moves us towards this goal.   We strive to offer a wide variety of alpacas that appeal to all of our clients’ needs and desires, from starter to show-quality alpacas.
