First Herdsire Max
MFI Peruvian Maximization
This story could also be titled "Love at first sight."
We had only been in the business for about two years and were attending a seminar at a large breeding operation. We spotted this incredible looking alpaca walking in the distance and were immediately drawn to him. I told Vickie right there and then, "I don't know who he is, but I want to breed our girls to him."
We did some inquiring and found out that his name was MFI Peruvian Maximization and arranged for a breeding. We came to know his owners and found out that Max was owned by a partnership of three farms and one of the farms was retiring. We jumped at the opportunity to buy into the partnership and the rest as they say, is history!
Max has been one of the mainstays of our breeding program and has sired many ribbon winning crias for us and our clients. He's getting a little older now, but we still give him an occasional date with the ladies as he possesses wonderful fleece qualities which he passes on to his offspring.
