PRODUCT REVIEW: Vetericyn Pink Eye Spray
A friend actually turned us on to this product. Another top of the line veterinary product from Vetericyn, we feel this is a must for any livestock or horse owner. During late spring and summer months, we are plagued with flies and that eventually leads to flies in the eyes, goopy weepy eyes, eye irritations, eye infections, and pink eye. Once one animal on the farm has pink eye, the flies just spread the bactieria around and the pink eye spreads to others. The active ingredient in this spray is hypochlorous acid, which is an anti-bacterial compound. This spray aids in healing the pink eye infection and thus preventing it from spreading to other animals on your farm. It will help with inflammation and swelling around the eyes pretty fast. The only down-side is that animals generally don't like to be sprayed directly in their eyes, so administering the spray can be tricky. But, we feel this is a great product and well worth the challenge so we keep it stocked at all times through the fly season!
