2025/2026 Kidding & Routine

Cee Cee confirmed bred for January 2026

Cee Cee confirmed bred for January 2026

Our kidding season for 2025 was quite chaotic and had kiddings spread so far out from each other, that it made my milk testing schedule so complicated. We had many unfortunate happenings that interfered with plans. My dad always tells me he doesn't make any plans because they never work out anyway. Every time I start to "plan" for something I hear him in my head saying that! He is right though. I can plan all I want and things will happen that are out of my control.

Since we had Kenai read more...

Avoiding problematic breeders

I want to begin by saying, I am writing this blog to help others that may be new in their venture of raising registered dairy goats. We have been working hard to create the best herd for our needs of dairy production and would like to share what we've learned and experienced. The quest of finding and purchasing from a reputable source can be a piece of cake or a total nightmare. We have experienced both. Although still very new to the world of dairy goats, not goats in general, or breeding li read more...

Who's your babies daddy

Oh Wendy! Who is your babies daddy?! I am so confused with this Junior doe, and who sired her kids. We will definitely know once they are born because of the dates. The thing is this girl is already bagging up, so it has me questioning. We are most definitely going to do a paternity test to make sure we are correct on this. Kenai had been covering does, when we didnt know or think he was covering them. Wendy here was bred to Oliver, a breeding I witnessed personally, but she was living with K read more...

Farm Merch & Marketing

I know I may be getting a bit ahead of myself with farm merch and marketing, but I think it sets us apart in the long run. Im also a creative person by nature and so I love art and media and mixing the two is something I've always been into.

When I had our banner made, it was the closest to feeling like our farm is headed in the right direction. Raising animals is a lengthy process, and sometimes can feel obsolete when you have set backs. Its a never ending cycle and so it never read more...

Kidding Season 2025 Officially Here

Cayenne and her Kenai buckling

Cayenne and her Kenai buckling

Our kidding season has begun and is in full swing. We have 7 does in milk so far.

Our homebred doe Ana was the first one to freshen. She has developed a beautiful udder with very nice teats and open orifices. I am so proud, as I see so much improvement in her udder from her dam. Havana, passed great traits, so I am excited for the prospect of his other daughters having the same results. She gave us a gorgeous big chocolate buckling. Unfortunately, he is not eligi read more...

Happy 2025!

Happy New Year!

As we come into the new year, we reflect on everything that we accomplished. 2024 was a monumental year for us. We brought in many Nubians with the desired genetics. We have friends to thank for helping us acquire those deals, and I have my husband to thank for believing in my vision and the direction I want to take in our breeding program. I took the plunge and had our herd Linear Appraised. As nervous and scared as I was, we did ve read more...

New goats on the farm and their behavior to the change

I have wanted to share our experiences with bringing in new goats to the farm, how it affected them and how we approached their behavior.

In past years, we had a very small herd, and for the most part got very lucky that most if not all of the goats we had were extremely friendly. With a few being a bit more independent, less outgoing, but overall handle-able.

Last year we decided to change our herd dynamic and go with registered stock. We sold our Grades and kept read more...

Vaballathus was friendly from the day we brought him to the farm! He's an example of a goat that acclimated well. Still, we gave him lots of cookies!
