We are a full service Alpaca Ranch in Beautiful Willard Utah, 45 minutes North of Salt Lake City.

While attending OSU in the mid 80’s our journey began. Robert was working on his doctorate while I worked at the vet school to help support our family. While there I discovered alpacas and fell completely in love with them. Their gentle nature and the calm, serene energy you feel when you are around them is magical. It took 20 years before we were able to fulfill the dream of owning them. In 2005 we purchased our first alpacas and we have never looked back. We have been learning and growing all along the way. We focus on quality not quantity.

In our breeding program we have strived to always make each generation better than the last. We are extremely proud of our herd which is focused on quality huacayas. We constantly strive to improve the quality of our herd one step at a time and to maintain diverse bloodlines. Every breeding and every addition to our herd is carefully considered with improvement of the breed in mind. Our herdsires are all champions and award winners and our quality foundation females are the basis for our successful breeding program.

Uinta Alpacas is a seed stock program with show-quality alpacas, foundation breeding stock and, quality fiber animals. Our prices are reasonable and we are pleased to be able to offer payment plans.

We love Natural fiber production where we follow a sustainable farming model. Alpacas are extremely environmentally kind, there is no waste, they are completely sustainable throughout their life. That is what makes alpaca farming really exciting from an eco-friendly stand point. Especially at this time when environmental concerns are on everyone’s minds.

We are committed to being good mentors for our clients and strive to help and support them every step of the way as they enter alpaca farming. We are their greatest cheer leaders and celebrate their growth.
Alpacas are a pretty easy livestock to raise, but they are just different enough that it can feel like a pretty big learning curve when you are just starting out, especially if you are doing it on your own. LUCKILY you don’t have too! We would love to share our knowledge with you.

My specialty is Animal Husbandry and education. I have experience in veterinary medicine that spans more than 30 years. My passion is humane farming practices and helping people learn how to take wonderful care of their alpacas. I have served for many years in various Board of Director roles for IMpaca, an Affiliate of AOA.
Robert is the resident Environmental Scientist of the farm, having his PhD in Soil Science with an emphasis in Hydrology and Environmental Engineering.

Together we work hard to ensure our little farm is run in a way that focuses on sound, sustainable practices and the best possible care of our herd.
We look forward to sharing our knowledge and animals with you.
