Welcome to Nature's Reserve Alpacas

Nature's Reserve Alpacas is located in the beautiful Delaware River Valley of Callicoon, New York. Our farm is located right on the banks of the magnificent Delaware River where bald eagles soar. We are conveniently located only 2 hours from New York City making the Sullivan County Catskills a year-round playground for vacationers and second home owners. There are many activities to enjoy in all four seasons. We are only 20 minutes from the world class performing arts venue, Bethel Woods Center for the Arts.

Alpaca fleece comes in 22 natural colors. Besides the softness of the fleece it has superior insulating ability without weight. This fiber breaths with your body which reduces overheating. It also can shed water, keeping you warm even when it is wet. The two most common types of alpaca that are used for garment purposes is the Suri (long, pencil sized ringlets) and Huacayas (shorter and fuzzier).

Our farm store is open by appointment only, so just call before you visit us. We have an assortment of yarns, scarves, yoga and dress socks, hats and gloves.
A new supply of sport weight yarn and roving has just come in from the mill. We are using a new mill just a few miles down the road from us, that recently opened. We are very pleased with the results of the bamboo/alpaca blends.

We have branched out and are available for farm consultations.

ELK Matrix's Magnum

ELK Matrix's Magnum permanent residence is on our farm.
He is waiting impatiently for this year's breeding schedule to begin.

Magnum's first cria is on the ground and running all over. She's a very fine fibered, independent, black female born the end of September. Like her daddy, this cria has good conformation and dense, crimpy fiber. Magnum's micron count is 19.
Contact us to book your breedings to this awesome son of Snowmass Matrix.
