Old Homestead Alpacas is located on a historic 1870's homestead, in beautiful rural community of Walla Walla, WA.

We are a small veteran-owned, first generation farming operation focusing on local, sustainable practices. Each year we transform the herd's annual fiber harvest into luxury knitwear and yarns, which are hand dyed using farm-grown plants and flowers.

New in 2018!!
-We have diversified and are now offering cut flowers under the name Gholson Gardens (surname of the original homestead family). Find our seasonal blooms at the Downtown Walla Walla Farmer's Market on Saturday mornings from mid-June through September, and in College Place on Thursday afternoons.

-With the expansion into cut flower production, we have indefinitely suspended our individual farm tours & visits. However, please join us for a number of upcoming public events.

- Our 4th Annual Open Barn, Saturday, June 16th, 2018 from 10 am to 4 pm for $2 per person (2 years and older). Visit the recently shorn alpacas, learn about the homestead's history, check out our fiber dyeing studio and shop the farm store. There's something for everyone.

- Natural Dyeing Workshop
Planned for late July 2018 when our yarn is back from the mill and the dye flowers are in full bloom! Learn how to transform our farm-raised yarn naturally with light & color-fast hues from dye plants.

- Yoga on the Farm
Planned for early September 2018, this will be a sunset yoga session with instruction from a local yoga studio, finished off with a wine tasting from a local winery. Not to be missed!

- Petals & 'Pacas
Planned for mid-to-late September 2018, come out to the homestead for a floral and fiber foray! Cut flower bouquet arranging, floral crown or wrist corsage making and of course, alpaca visits & photo ops!
