Alpaca Farm Tour & Walk
Tuesdays, Fridays, and Saturdays at 11:00 AM
Join us for a private 1.5–2 hour experience that begins with hand-feeding our alpacas and learning how to interact with them. You’ll hear about their history, breeding, shearing, and the many uses of their luxurious fleece—plus why alpacas are considered environmentally friendly livestock.
Then, take a guided walk with our halter-trained alpacas through pastures and into the woods. Children must be 7 or older to lead an alpaca. Finish your visit with an optional fiber processing demo and browse the farm store for cozy alpaca products.
Trails
Explore 23 wooded acres along Ballinger Creek. Trails vary in difficulty—some are hilly or marshy—and are temporarily closed when unsafe due to weather or tree damage. Trail markers are being added as we continue improvements.
Picnic Areas
Bring a packed lunch and relax in one of our three shaded picnic spots. Four tables are located near the farm entrance in alpaca yards, two in wooded area just outside farm entrance, and two in meadow below alpaca fences. Please keep the space clean — trash cans are provided.
Note: No alcohol permitted on the farm.
Plan Your Visit
We schedule only one tour per day to give you our full attention. Kids 0–6 visit for free! Wear sturdy shoes (no sandals or heels). Book online or call (703) 945-0766.
Come enjoy a day on the farm—we can’t wait to welcome you!
