    Shearing Day 2017 (two)

As Shearing Day 2018 approaches we thought we'd share some of the clips from last year's event that didn't get posted in the regular album. We have some fun shots in here so enjoy and we'll be posting more next week after the big day!

We're not quite sure what's taking place here but it almost looks as if someone's having a conversation with this alpaca....?
    Joel's crew hard at work.
Frankie, not too sure how much he loves me taking pictures, LOL.
    Minnie Me and her mom.
    Miracle
Phil in a standoff with stubborn alpacas!
Beautiful fleece as it's sheared from the body of each alpaca. It comes off in one large piece thanks to Joel's skillful shearing technique.
Joel pausing for a photo opp.
Can you guess who this is?
Vickie and helpers rolling up the blanket as it comes off each animal.
    Shearing King.
Rusty taking a quick break for the camera.
And this is how it looks, all rolled and wrapped up in the back of the wagon.
