With the unexpected and sudden passing of The Elite Maximus in the Fall of 2016, there are very few ways to obtain his stellar genetics...His breeding to Alivia was one of the last. The Elite Maxine may be his last female offspring.
He had a 17 micron at age 13, and still less than 19 at age 15. And now the rest of his great qualities..........
The Elite Maximus is one of those few animals who possess instant name recognition in the alpaca world. His reputation as a herdsire, and before that, in the show ring, is second to none. For many years he was the linchpin of Park View Alpacas' huacaya breeding program, and his many offspring have carried his low micron count and incredibly dense buttery fleece to victory in the showring.
In 2011 Park View Alpacas went to the AOBA National Show with four huacayas that had been sired by The Elite Maximus – they we MAXED out! 1st Place Get of Sire! 1st Place Produce of Dam! Judges’ Choice Female Huacaya! We don’t believe any other Huacaya breeder has ever matched these results. Two of his offspring were available at the 2011 Prestige Alpaca Auction, including 1 of his Judge’s Choice daughters – Camilina. This was a unique opportunity to add this particular combination of genetics to your herd!
The list of The Elite Maximus’ offspring and their accomplishments is considerable. Of most immediate recognitions were the Prestige Auction headliners, Camilina, who sold for $55,000 as a 2nd Generation Color Champion and Judges’ Choice female huacaya. Don’t forget Cambria, who sold for $20,000 and 2011 International Alpaca Odyssey Best Head and highest score Walking Fleece winner.

12/27/2019 Today was a sad day on the farm. We lost this beautiful gem - she was truly our favorite girl. Alivia gave us three beautiful girls and they are her legacy. We'll keep the one we still own...MMFA Elite Maxine.
Alivia is a prime example of a breeding dam that has retained a high quality uniform fleece well into her mature years. With her uniformity and Vicuna coloring, she is a rare gem that is a fantastic addition to our foundation herd. Her crias are absolutely beautiful---each m...

Introductory breeding price...Price is for full interest but half interest is available. MMFA Freestyle's Deimos has matured beautifully! He has a highly uniform and consistent fleece, with crimp and character from skin to tip, along with very good bundling and fineness. He also has amazing conformation (he is very boxy) and excellent density. He has a stunningly beautiful head style and strong substance of bone on a compact frame. He's a gorgeous guy...IMHO! His 2018 histogram remained almost unchanged from his 2017 histogram, so we expect he will stay fine and uniform. His 2019 histogram creeped up to 20.2/4.1/20.4, but our hay has had way too much protein (18 - 20%...unfortunately it's all we could find due to the monsoons last year), so that's still quite amazing and indicative of his superior genetic makeup! He exhibits virtually no guard hairs either and he's maintaining full coverage of his fiber all the way down to his toes, and right over his eyes, if we didn't trim it. Top that all off with a very pleasing personality - he coexists beautifully with our younger boys as a perfect gentle man!
Deimos's herdsire, TGF Freestyle, was part of the AOA Supreme Championship class of 2016, and he has an unbelievable pedigree. His sire, Matrix Majesty has won the Futurity Herdsire of the Year award for 2011, 2013 and 2014. It appears that TGF Freestyle and Deimos' dam, Estates Keltic Lass, have passed their positive assets on -- solid conformation and a very soft, bright, uniform fleece that is full of crimp and character. His dam, Estates Keltic Lass, is also quite a gal...coming with genetics that boast of extreme fineness with retained fineness and soft handle. She is the daughter of Snowmass Nova’s Galaxy, and she has Bueno, Casanova, Caligula and Chaccu in her pedigree.
At just over 6 months and with the cria tips still on, Deimos won 3rd Place at the 2017 MAPACA Small Breeders Jubilee. He took 3rd at 2017 Empire and 4th at NEAOBA with EXTREMELY competitive classes. He took 2nd at 2017 VAOBA right behind the Color Champion! and, 2nd right behind RC at 2018 Carolina Alpaca Celebration. At 2018 Southern Select, Jude Anderson lined her selections up and commended the class for being so exceptional. She indicated that all of the fleeces were remarkable, and that her placement was based on how far down the extremities the fleece character carried....so, Deimos has amazing fleece. Then, at 2018 Mid-Atlantic Gala, Deimos took a blue and Best Bred & Owned with quite a few laudatory comments from the Judge!
We'd be happy to keep Deimos on our herdsire row. There's just one little catch -- MMFA is breeding for light and white now, so we really shouldn't!...Please come look at him and make an offer! If sold, we will reserve three breedings for ourselves.
Note: Special pricing available for multiple alpaca purchases or breedings. Stud service includes 60 days board; $3/day thereafter.
Description
Elite Maxine has the goods - incredibly uniform micro-crimps, consistency across her blanket with extreme fineness, and nice conformation! One would expect nothing else based on her heritage, but her histogram confirms it (see this page -- she has a Spin Fineness of 15.1-2018; 16.0-2019), and her EPDs are AMAZING!!! -- Top 1 - 3% in AFD, SD, SF, %>30, %M. Maxine is truly a foundation female. She was probably the last Elite Maximus offspring to be born...which is in and of itself a reason to hold onto her for a while. Maxine will be bred to MMFA Freestyle’s Deimos this Fall. We expect him to add density and give more definition to her crimp. See more about Deimos on his webpage.
In awarding her a 1st place ribbon at the 2019 HOV Show, Judge Kevin O'Leary indicated that "...this female should be capable of producing champions." She has all the genetics for lasting fineness and incredible uniformity. Just look at her fleece shot...it is as soft as it looks with amazing handle! Both her sire and dam holding Grade 1 Royal fleece -- her sire, the Elite Maximus, even doing so until his untimely death in 2016 at the age of 15. Her dam, SA Peruvian Alivia, also passed far too early. She did the same at 7 years old with only 1.9%>30 microns!
Her dam, SA Peruvian Alivia, was out of the great SA Peruvian Apollo, an impact herdsire with more than 180 registered offspring and hundreds of descendants from there. He obviously received and passed on the amazing genetics of his parents, PPPeruvian Royal Fawn 6014 and PPPeruvian Aphrodite 5070, both direct imports that have contributed greatly to the positive progression of the alpaca industry today.
Her sire, The Elite Maximus was a multiple Get of Sire champion and champion himself. At 13 years old (2014), The Elite Maximus held a histogram of less than 19 microns! And that fineness was incredibly uniform, with a comfort factor of close to 100%. Wow!! The Elite Maximus started his illustrious show career when he was only 8 months old, winning Res. COLOR CHAMPION at the 2002 Columbia Alpaca Breeders Association show. He then went on to win the JUDGE’S CHOICE Award at the Canadian International Fleece Show and the 2006 AWE fleece show. The Local, Regional, National and International awards and ribbons started stacking up from there! The Elite Maximus transitioned from the show ring to herdsire, and those awards were just the beginning of an amazing, award-winning dynasty.
Unfortunately, Maxine's first cria was stillborn -- a perfectly formed little girl -- no idea why. The vet delivered her and said that she had been deceased for over 24 hours. So, Maxine is not for sale until she has her first successful birth. Our fingers are crossed for 2021!
