Description

Zitan was born on 7/29/17 and is an excellent addition to our ranch. He has beautiful fiber (a 2020 count of 21.8 microns) and good, solid conformation. Zitan's sire is our Kamiak's Kohana, who is a Lennox descendant. His dam is KC's Be Flirty.

Zitan was a first-place winner in the walking fleece competition at the Alpacapalooza/CABA show in Portland, OR, on May 12, 2018. In 2019, Zitan took 6th place in the Halter Show. We did not continue to enter him into the show ring. We have, however, sent fiber into fleece shows. At the TXOLAN Fleece Show in February 2021, Zitan placed 3rd. The judge, Amanda Vanden Bosch, said there was "some variation in length, but soft to the hand and lighter in weight."

Zitan, affectionately nicknamed Shogun, has been sponsored by the US Navy Carrier Air Wing Division. His pictures can be found in several areas of the USS Abraham Lincoln, the US Navy's carrier ship. We are deeply grateful for your service to our country and your sponsorship. Your support means a lot to us. Thank you.

Zitan will be a great addition to your herd. We have not used him yet as a herdsire since we have so many males. But he does produce great fiber that we have spun into yarn, and some of that fiber is included in the saddle blankets we made to sell in our store. Put him to work for you.

Financing Terms

We will offer financing if you need that option. However, we reserve the right to keep the animals (at your expense) until your contract is paid in full. You will be charged a per diem fee (negotiable) while your animals are still on our ranch. You will need to carry your own insurance on the animals you purchase. 35% down, interest at prime rate plus 1%, payments will depend on length of time financed.
