Description
Beautiful girl out of Snowmass Kahuna's Dreamer, which goes back to Conopa's Kahuna and Conopa XXX, Snowmass XXXtreme, Snowmass Quechua, and so many other notable herdsires. And on the dam side, Snowmass Touche', Messiah, Matrix, and Royal Challanger. So, this girl is pure Snowmass at its best, with plenty of color buried within that pedigree!
AO has been bred to KCF Magnetar, a gorgeous light brown 3X Champion male, for her Spring 2025 cria, specifically to pull some of those color genetics from her, and also to reinforce staple length. Magnetar's pedigree brings in Conopa's Kahuna, Royal Rose, and Matrix on the dam's side -- so we're doubling up on those genetics that produce lasting fineness as well, without line breeding.
"AO", as we call her, carries fineness in combination with an extremely good staple length. Lynn Edens had this to say about her: "Her EPDs reflect a no-compromise combination of genetic potential for fineness, uniformity, and fleece weight. Plus, it all comes on a superior frame – and she has it!"
AO’s 2022 cria arrived on 10/19/22 – a beautiful light fawn male that hit the ground strong and sturdy. AO has proven to be an excellent dam with plenty of milk. Her new cria, Kalyke, regularly gained over a half pound a day. At 7 months old, he weighs almost as much as our yearlings at over 80 pounds. We actually thought we had bred AO to Magnetar for this outcome, but when we sent the color card into AOA for registration, it turned out that we were wrong!
Financing Terms
Standard industry contracts are used. Breeding quality alpacas come with reproductive and live birth guarantees. You may take possession of your alpacas once the down payment is received and the “contract for purchase” signed by both parties. Transfer of ownership with ARI will not occur until full payment is received.
Financing is available with 25 - 33% down, with up to 24 monthly payments. Buyer must purchase full mortality insurance for alpaca and offspring, if any, naming Man in the Moon Farm LLC as beneficiary on balance due until paid in full. Breedings include 60 day agistment unless otherwise noted. Special pricing often available for multiple alpaca purchases or multiple breeding purchase. Transportation responsibility of buyer.
