Description

This little fella won't remain a secret for too long! At first glance, you would think this is just another light colored alpaca but in reality this little one is an extremely light classic tuxedo rosegrey! He carries a very faint tuxedo bonnet marking which was passed down by his dam Saona Rose, one of our most decorated rosegrey female. His sire is none other than Snowmass Pure Reserve XX, one of the most influential herdsire to be imported from the US (now in Germany).

Needless to say, it will be exciting to see him grow. As a cria, we could already tell his fleece was special! It showed great structure with tight bundling and just amazing overall density. As his second fleece is coming in, we are getting even more excited for this guy! The fineness, organisation and uniformity of micron is impressive when looked at it as being a grey fleece!

As this type of cryptic grey do not typically show well when put against lighter solid colors, we will not halter show him as he should be technically measured against greys which well...just won't happen! We have seen too many alpacas that were clearly rosegrey be moved into fawn or brown categories at shows!

Despite not having him showed, Secrecy will undoubtedly make his way to our herdsire lineup in a few years from now and will certainly throw some award winning greys! Only then the secret will be out: this little boy is in fact a classic rosegrey in hiding!
