Welcome to Alpagas Sutton

Nestled at the foot of the Appalachian mountain range in Quebec's beautiful Eastern Townships, our alpaca farm is located just a few miles from the Vermont border and only an hour and a half from Montreal. We raise with love and the highest standards of the industry a medium size herd that fluctuates anywhere from 30 to 50 alpaca each year. Our main goal as breeders is to raise the overall quality of classic greys here in Canada. Our breeders are selected for their strong conformation traits and specific fleece qualities to globally enhance the quality of our herd and newest subjects every year. We also breed for great temperament and mothering skills to ensure our ‘pacas’ have a good start in life and remain easy to handle as they mature. Quality versus quantity!

Our farm also doubles as a great tourist attraction in the area. We are devoted to sharing our love of alpacas and nature with visitors through educational circuits and interpretive trails that treads throughout our farmland. Our pacas always have a choice to greet visitors on their own terms or just stay away from the pasture fences if they do not feel like being social on any given day. We feel strongly that this is the most natural way to offer our visitors a chance to interact positively with our herd all while respecting our alpacas individual personalities and level of social skills. Our deep love for these magnificent animals is also reflected in the wide variety of locally handmade products we offer in our charming on-site boutique.

We are members of the the Alpaca Owners Association (AOA) Canadian Llama and Alpaca Association (CLAA). All of our alpacas are or can be double registered (US and CAN). Although we specialize in greys, our breeding program is supported by a variety of colors and renowned bloodlines. Have a look and if you can't find what your are looking for, feel free to contact us!

Getting ready for 2026!

WE ARE GETTING READY FOR THE 2026 SPRING SHOWS AND BIRTHING SEASON!

We couldn't be more excited to show some of our best subjects again this year! After an amazing show season last year for our farm, we are looking forward to another successful season this year with stunning offspring from Taji and Jophiel as well as our first crias from Rusty!
Stay tuned for results...

We are also getting ready for birthing season that should start in early June. We are expecting our first crias from our grey multi-champion Revolution who started his breeding career last summer. Really looking forward to seeing what this outstanding classic grey male produces for us!

Again, stay tuned for more exciting stuff coming in 2026!
