One of our biggest regrets in our early days of this crazy adventure is to have only used Mortimer thrice in our breeding program. It turns out that it wasn't entirely our fault. We've tried but this male was probably the stupidest male around females. He was spitting on the females if they came close to him to sniff him and he had litteraly ZERO interest even if the females were laying in front of him. We've tried for years and years, even at 7 he didn't have interest! He was searching for his best friend and brother Monte-Cristo instead. It is something that we laugh about today, but it was no fun when we wanted some Mortimer's crias!

They only 3 crias he had for us are gems. First of them is our 1st place winner Adoby. Her crimp style remains the same with age and is uniform from her chest to her tail. She is something special for us, not only for her limited genetics on her sire' side.
His second daughter is Adoby's full-sister Abelle. Abelle is very similar to Adoby, except her colour fades to a light beige on her hip, making a slight variation in the crimp style. The judge noticed it and in a very competitive white class with 13 females, there was no room in the winner line-up for a small colour variation. Abelle is an amazing producer.
His third and final daughter was another white female. From the short 3 months of her life, we could easily tell that she was the best white alpaca we've produced. From our 2x Reserve Champion female Alfée, this girl would have been in the winning line-up for sure.

Abelle had a beautiful white daughter in 2020 that is a carbon copy to Mortimer in looks.

Mortimer had a stunning crimp style. He was the son of the mighty MMR Marcoyo and MMR Arequipina.
Over the years, we've found out that there are some maternal lines that are stands out. Arequipina's line is one of them. I don't know if the magic comes from Arequipina or Arequipina's dam : Jolimont Peruvian Arequipa. Arequipa has only 2 registered offspring, Arequipina and another daughter MMR Aracelli. Aracelli is the dam of 3x Champion MMR Misty's Peruvian Xena, who is the dam of Supreme Champion Misty's Peruvian Xodia, who is the sire of our fondation dam ACA Xenia. Xenia is the female beind our 3x Champion Allure, grand-dam to Reserve Champion Atlantik, 1st place winners Aquarelle, Aucean and Amos.
I may have lost a few readers but Arequipa's daughter Aracelli was an amazing producer, I've only named what is related to us, but not the many award winning alpacas from other farms.
Aracelli was good, but Arequipina is in my point of view better. She was a Colour Champion daughter of Coyo Destini. In 2019, two of her grand-daughters won the Supreme Champion in Walking Fleece and the Supreme Champion Female at the AO Spring Show. We also owned 3 of her sons that where producing award winning progeny : Andrade (sire of Lady Aure du DNA), Figaro (sire of Alfée) and Mortimer.

We trusted this lines, it turns out it was a good idea!

Crispina is with us since March 2008. At 19, she's still happily running around with the crias.

Again, we know that this female doesn't have the best of look (like most of our first alpacas), but I think that it's important for our alpaca friends and customers to know where we've started.

Crispina is a Hemingway grand-daughter. Her great-grand-mother is a grey female coming from the breeding program of Dr Stachowski. 2 of her grand sons are greys, Atlantik (RC DSG) and Autello (DRG).

Mama Crouspou had many daughters for us, starting with ACA Xenia who came with her at purchase. Xenia is a strong pillar in our breeding program, producing 7 females for us (6 in a row!!!). She is the dam of 1st place winner Aquarelle, 3x Champion Allure, Adrenaline who is the dam of RC grey Atlantik and 1st place winner Aucean and finally, Xenia is the dam of Azira who also produced 1st place winner! Xenia did a lot for us.

Her next female was Ariva. Ariva is very fine. AFD 16.9 SD 3.9 CV 23.0 and + 30% 0.9 at 2 years old! Ariva is a daughter of MMR Marcoyo. It turns out that this female is producing females! 4 females to 1 male to date (talking from Jan. 2021).

Coming next was Actrice. Actrice is the full sister of Aslam, who was a stunning male in both conformation and fleece. Sadly, Actrice has inherit her dam look. I would consider her as Crispina's worst cria in term of overall quality, but the friendliest ! Actrice's crias were surprinsingly good! They had nice fleece caracteristics but all have her look. Due to the abondance of her genetics, Actrice is retired after 3 crias. Actrice won the 1st place in Obstacle with me back in 2015!

In 2015, her daughter was Adoby. She is one of our best white female ever produced. 1st place at her first show. She has an amazing crimp that remains with age that is uniform from her chest to her tail!

Crispina was retired after giving birth to her last cria Abelle in 2017. Another beauty that we held in high esteem!

To date, 20 of our 32 females are her descendants! That is 62.5% of our females!!! That means that we have in our program only 5 maternal lines : Crispina's, Theodora's (through Akyrima and Aure), Evorabelle's (through Alfée and Aube), Audiny's (Audiny, Aureo, Anita and Andean Shadow) and Shy Ann's (through Ann and on the paternal side of Akyrima and Alfée and Aube's dam).

Slowly, we are getting a bit more of variety in our females bloodlines (before it was pretty much near 80% of our herd that was related to her), but Crispina's will live forever in our herd throughout her grand daughter Allure and her great-grand daughter Aloha Sunshine offsprings...

Description

Adoby is a very attractive female, one of our best white females!

She did very well in the showings, securing a 1st in a huge white juvenile female class, and a very respectable 2nd as a yearling behind the Judge's Choice, our wonderful Cymbelline!

Her sire is Aristo Milord Mortimer, a MMR Marcoyo son (Vaccoyo grandson) and his dam is MMR Ariquipina, a colour champion Coyo Destini daughter.
Adoby's dam is our fondation female ACA Crispina. Crispina is the dam and grand-dam to many show winners in our herd, our 3x champion girl Allure is one of her grand-daughter and our Reserve Champion Grey male Atlantik is her great-grand-son.

Adoby has a strong conformation with good substance of bones and a good headstyle. Her best traits would be her crimp and density. The uniformity of her crimp is amazing, the crimp style doesn't chance from her blanket, to her neck, chest and legs. Adoby is producing year after year one of the heaviest fleece weight on the farm.

Adoby's first cria is a fine TB male out of Magnus!
Her 2022 daughter out of Smoak is HUGE, thriving and turning into a very nice female.
