Description

I had long coveted the lines of CCNF Elixir and those of his legendary sire, Snowmass Elite Legend for their proven production of award-winning alpacas. When the opportunity to acquire a male from these lines was offered, I didn’t hesitate!

Alpacajoy Excelsior is one of the first-born offspring out of CCNF Elixir, 5x Judge’s Choice and 3x HoTY, and his only son in Canada. His elite pedigree on his sire’s side traces back to CCNF Archangel, Snowmass Quechua, and 5Peruvian Cangalli.
His dam, CCNF Chiquita, is the matriarch of one of Alpacajoy of Norway’s best lines, producing offspring still winning championships at the age of 5 (Alpacajoy Epiphany – Excelsior’s ¾ sister). CCNF Chiquita is a direct daughter of Futurity Champion, Snowmass Messiah, and a granddaughter of Snowmass Accoyocusani. He showcases a very dense fleece with highly aligned crimp, fineness, great staple length and longevity. With no guard hair on his frame, Excelsior will bring great qualities into our breeding program.
Although his show career was cut short while he was in quarantine to be exported to Norway, Excelsior was unbeatable in the Light category, winning Light Colour Champion both times. He attained the score of 83/100 in fleece show with his 3rd fleece.

As a breeding male, Excelsior produces offsprings with improved density, barely any visible guard hair on them, superior staple length and wide chest. In 2023, he has improved every dam he was bred to, and will be put on our best females during the 2024 season.
With his fawn colour genotype, when bred to whites, his crias are often beige/light.
