SKYWALKERS Dam is STF Sassafras 10X CC and represents all that is Elite in the Color Alpaca World. Her Sire - Snowmass XXXtreme is one of the most PREPOTENT colored studs to grace the Alpaca breeding world. XXXtreme's progeny are nothing short of spectacular.

Sassafras won the COLOR CHAMPIONSHIP at the Northeastern 2011.
Judge Jude Anderson said: "I have a Juvenile female here in this championship position I would recommend you take a look at. Her fleece is very bright when you open it up, with excellent density and, uniformity in to the belly - not just of the style, but of the fineness across the blanket. She is a lovely package – excellent density.”

Sassafras won Reserve CHAMPIONSHIP at Empire.
Judge Jill MacLeod said: “What I really like about this girl is that she is very fine, very even, she has great uniformity in all respects – and that did her very well today. Even her primary fibers are very very fine throughout that fleece and I think this is the kind of fleece that will maintain fineness throughout a lifetime.”

In awarding her the Championship at MAPACA, Judge Helen Humphries cited Sassafrass as the complete package, noting of her fineness, consistency and buttery soft - dreamy fleece.

We searched for the best breeding for our exceptional female Sassafras - and decided on MFI Peruvian Armoire:

SKYWALKER has an Insanely Bright, Fine, Dense and Organized Fleece with a high frequency crimp. His fleece is extremely consistent throughout. The fineness and consistency give his fleece a dreamlike quality. He has Rock Solid Conformation and strong bone arried on a compact frame.

Description

We saw Night Skye before she was 3 months old and before she even had an official name -- she was known as "Twinkle Toes," and I'm sure she has no idea what the name on her certificate actually is. We were already quite familiar with her stellar herdsire, STF Skywalker, and her fleece character at that tender young age won us over.

Skye was bred to Amber Autumn Blue Northern, a gorgeous multi champion & Judges Choice winning silver gray male in early 2023, and she delivered a beautiful dark brown female carbon copy of herself on New Year’s Day. It was a great start to 2024!

She has been bred to CCNF Tristan for a Fall 2025 cria. Can't wait to see what they produce! UPDATE: We’ll, it only took a year—367 days to be exact! Twinkle Toes delivered a gorgeous light fawn female on 11/25/25. More info coming soon.

When we brought her home, she was (and still is) one of the most interesting alpacas ever! She's a verbal little girl with a constant "cluck, cluck, clucking..." At first she wouldn't really let me get near her, and if I got too close, she'd turn on her heels and push out a big kick! But in just a couple of weeks, she became curious enough to get close and go nose to nose. And about 2.5 weeks in she actually let me touch her -- relaxing enough to lay down beside me. She quickly became a farm favorite -- content to follow our guests around or lay at their feet. Pregnancy is a whole different game for TT, though. She prefers to stay in the background. Such a jekel & hyde character, she is.

Our friend, Sharon Rainey, honed in on Skye’s outgoing personality the very first time they met. They were so comfortable together that Skye took her very first treat from a human hand during that visit—Sharon’s hand. Sharon quickly accepted our offer to become Skye’s co-owner. So, TT is one of those "forever" girls. Her cria will be offered for sale, but TT needs to stay.

Financing Terms

Standard industry contracts are used. Breeding quality alpacas come with reproductive and live birth guarantees. You may take possession of your alpacas once the down payment is received and the “contract for purchase” signed by both parties. Transfer of ownership with ARI will not occur until full payment is received. Financing is available with 25 - 33% down, with up to 24 monthly payments. Buyer must purchase full mortality insurance for alpaca and offspring, if any, naming Man in the Moon Farm LLC as beneficiary on balance due until paid in full. Breedings include 60 day agistment unless otherwise noted. Special pricing often available for multiple alpaca purchases or multiple breeding purchase. Transportation responsibility of buyer. AUCTION & PACKAGED DEAL OFFERS: These are cash only unless different arrangements are made up front. No other discounts apply unless negotiated otherwise.
