Quixotic’s dam, Starry Night’s Quetzal, was purchased at the prestigious 2008 All-American Alpaca Futurity. To say that this dam is impressive is an understatement. She was a gorgeous dark silver-grey female with incredible fleece character and rare density. Quixotic’s dam was bred to Majestic Peruvian Jeremiah the first year, and the result was the famous multiple champion A & A and MFI Quatrain purchased by Coffee Pot, Whistler’s Glen, Applewood Farm, and Tangled Oaks at the 2010 Breeders Choice Auction. In the second year, she was bred to Jeremiah’s paternal brother MFI Peruvian Formula 1, co-owned by Magical Farms and Flying Pony Alpacas, and the result was A and A & MFI Quixotic!!

Quixotic is phenotypically gorgeous and his fleece is outstanding. As a very young juvenile his fleece won First Place and Grey Male Color Champion at the 2011 AOBA National Fleece Show…an amazing accomplishment for a juvenil

Description

GOA’s Black Rose is awesome! She came to the farm and fit right in, and what fleece! She’s so black and shiny that she looks blue.

Black Rose delivered a beautiful true black male cria on 7/15/23, we named him Braxton’s Blackfoot and he’s special! Gorgeous shiny black just like his mom (and sire!) and fantastic confirmation. Blackfoot took a blue in a tough walking fleece competition at the March 2024 AOA Nationals!

Black Rose delivered another beautiful true black male on 8/30/25, his name is Troubadour and he’s so handsome! We haven’t been able to find his skin yet through all of the fleece, and if that fleece ends up anything like his sire (Phantasy Pharm’s Phorged Steel), look out! Blessed that everyone is healthy!
