The end of our 2018 birthing season could not have been any better. Along came Armani's abounding Joy! This girl is out of a beautiful robust fawn dam who had two rose grey parents - one of which the freckled, Greystone. Joy's sire, GLR Armani, is also a beautiful, freckled rose grey - when he throws himself he throws outstanding. She has freckled genetics both sides of her pedigree and she grew up beautifully, with a dense fleece.

The swirls of colors for those first year fleeces are truly dazzling- If a picture paints a 1000 words... Joy received a 1st place at the California Classic with nice comments from the judge on her fineness, luster and lock.

For her first breeding, we bred her to a flashy, large-boned true black, El Dora's Zaliki. Zaliki took numerous first and second place ribbons and a championship in fleece at Suri Network Fleece Show, out of 18 black fleeces! His skin biopsy showed above average in both density and fineness for true black. We were pretty excited when beautiful female, Zaila arrived. She tended to lead the races and comes up when visitors were near out of curiosity. We then bred her to Sierra Bonita's Maccoyo Max - who has done such nice improvements in fleece. Joy birthed a flashy fawn female - that we have high hopes for.

Joy is a fantastic mother and has a lovely disposition. We are hesitantly offering her for sale as she is our only freckled girl and has such nice attributes.

This guy has a pedigree of the old well-knowns, including Bracito, Torbio, Macqyver... His name came by thinking of rock & roller Grace Slick. Slick has proven to be the perfect name time and time again.

He was born sturdy, strong and packing the fleece! We had not seen or felt so many skin wrinkles on a newborn body and neck. They almost flapped over on the sides. Beautiful luster & fineness like no other we had seen. We mean fine!

Description

This girl was born just a bit early and a little small in size to a first time mom. She soon picked up the pace and she could be seen zooming around the pasture. Zaila was so cute and spunky with a seemingly zest for life pronking and showing off for visitors. She just love loved to run. Despite Zaila's dark color something in this girls eyes really stand out.

Her dam is a robust freckled, rose grey from one of our top favorites, GLR Armani. Joy has a lot of fleece, I think over a 5 pound blanket last shear. Zaila's sire, Zaliki, had skin biopsy showing good density and above average fineness in secondaries noted in color of black. He received a couple championships, and won above 18 other fleeces at the Suri Network fleece show. Zaliki is a strikingly handsome, robust guy and he was also noted to have high luster 18 of 20 on fleece score. We see that trait being exhibited in her already and couldn't be happier especially considering he has silver grey in his pedigree from Silver-heat not to mention his gorgeous dam is WLK Peruvian Zara.

We entered Zaila in the fall show 2022 and the judge awarded her a 1st place and remarked about her nice conformation and luster. She is also a sweet one to handle.

2023 we bred her to Worthy Journey, and she delivered a gorgeous silver grey girl. She eased very well into motherhood and that is growing up looking fabulous.

We bred her to Gracie's Slick to the Max before he left for Reno, Nevada - will see if we can confirm a pregnancy.
