“Snowmass Pure Passion is the most magnificent Light Fawn Matrix son Snowmass Alpacas has ever produced.” ~ Snowmass Alpacas LLC.

Snowmass Alpacas explained that Snowmass Pure Passion represented 30 years of passion in breeding for the perfect-colored fleece on the most beautiful-bodied alpaca. When Pure Passion was born, they stated that he was one that you could not take your eyes off. PATAGONIA'S CAPRICIA

Capricia's line is known for lasting fineness. Her sire, Patagonia's El Vasco has a beautiful fleece that is fine and full of tight crimp. A skin biopsy by Dr. Evans ranked El Vasco in the top 1% in density (70 follicles SQMM. SP ratio: 13 to 1). At age 10 he was maintaining a 23.6 AFD. Description

Purely Capri 's sire is none other than multi-champion, and champion producer, Snowmass Pure Passion. Snowmass Alpacas said, “Snowmass Pure Passion is the most magnificent Light Fawn Matrix son Snowmass Alpacas has ever produced.” Her paternal grandsire, Snowmass Matrix won Reserve Herdsire of the Year for Light and Color in 2008, AND he won the Color Herdsire of the Year and Light Reserve Herdsire of the Year again in 2009.

Purely Capri's line is known for lasting fineness. Her maternal grandsire is Patagonia's El Vasco who was maintaining a 23.6 AFD at age 10! Her maternal great-grand sires are both legendary - Patagonia's Neruda (who sold for over $200,000 at the 2007 Futurity Auction) and multi-champion, Patagonia's Lennox (sire of a multitude of quality offspring including champions and many progenies that are currently top breeding herdsires and foundation producing dams).

We are proud to announce that Purely Capri won 1st place and Color Champion at her first show, the 2021 Gold Country Gathering! In addition, Capri and her half-brothers, Passionate Fever and Estates Passion's Perseverance helped Snowmass Pure Passion win his Fifth GET OF SIRE Blue Ribbon! Judge Wade Gease expressed that the trio were clear winners all supporting incredible density, uniformity, fineness, perfect conformation, all rolled into one winning package representing their sire!

Purely Capri picked up her second Championship banner and 2 Blue Ribbons at the 2022 TXOLAN shows. Here is what the judges had to say about this beautiful female: Judge Amanda Vandenbosch remarked, “She carries through with excellent substance of bone, maintains excellent balance, and across this fleece, she maintains a really lovely handle to the fleece. You open up the fleece, it’s got a good degree of brilliance and brightness in there and organizes within the structure of the staple from front to back. She is very true to type through the head style and correct in the jaw alignment.” Diana Timmerman said, “this female is also put together quite nicely conformationally. She is very true to type. She is showing density within her fleece. She is showing a fine fleece. It is consistent as well. She is also producing that on a very solid frame, and you can look at the speed read it from the top up and see what’s supporting that fleece that’s on the inside of the reserve champion today.”
