Description

Sadie’s 2024 cria is a knockout! Her show debut will be at the CAC in February 2025. We'd rather not sell Sadie, but we've lost our farm helper (at least temporarily...and unexpectedly due to medical reasons), and one of us has a failing back, making it critical for us to reduce the size of our herd, so we've decided that Sadie's 2024 cria, Stella, will stay in our foundation herd, and we are reluctantly offering Sadie for sale even though we had big plans for her.

When we inquired about Sadie's mother, Felina, in 2021, Felina was not for sale but her daughter, Sadie, was. The catch -- Sadie was already bred to multi-Champion Clear Mountain's Stratton and Clear Mountain wanted to keep this offspring that wasn't due until the Summer of 2022. So, we requested a fleece sample and the long wait began...Sadie produced a beautiful male cria for them out of Stratton.

Fast forward to 2023: Sadie was bred back to Stratton, and made her way to Man in the Moon Farm as a pregnant female in October of 2023.

2024 Update: oh boy, yes, it was well worth the wait! Sadie and Stratton produced an absolutely gorgeous fawn female that we named Stella on 6/9/24.
Our plan is to pair Sadie with Ganymede. We only had a few days to re-breed Sadie to Ganymede before he left for NY, and unfortunately, it didn't catch, so Sadie will be bred to Ganymede for a Fall 2025 cria. The outcome should be a good one!

Due to Covid and some serious health concerns of her Owner, sadly Sadie wasn't shown in halter. Her fleece was entered in one show. Both her sire and dam are multi-champions.

Financing Terms

Standard industry contracts are used. Breeding quality alpacas come with reproductive and live birth guarantees. You may take possession of your alpacas once the down payment is received and the “contract for purchase” signed by both parties. Transfer of ownership with ARI will not occur until full payment is received. Financing is available with 25 - 33% down, with up to 24 monthly payments. Buyer must purchase full mortality insurance for alpaca and offspring, if any, naming Man in the Moon Farm LLC as beneficiary on balance due until paid in full. Breedings include 60 day agistment unless otherwise noted. Special pricing often available for multiple alpaca purchases or multiple breeding purchase. Transportation responsibility of buyer. AUCTION & PACKAGED DEAL OFFERS: These are cash only unless different arrangements are made up front. No other discounts apply unless negotiated otherwise.
