Andean Midnight, the much-anticipated first cria of our black female, 4x Champion Andean Shadow, has captured our attention as the highlight of our 2023 breeding season.

Midnight boasts a compact frame, sturdy build, and excellent coverage down to his feet. His fleece has brightness, fineness, density, and evolving character as he matures.

His quality comes in his champion-laden pedigree. Andean Shadow, his dam, continues to secure championships with her third fleece, earning praise for remarkable micron uniformity despite her dark colour (SD 3.6) and achieving scores up to 79/100. She is a daughter of 6x Champion Averegan’s Magnus and the granddaughter of ARA Chananza, a male that has made a positive impact on our breeding program. Midnight's sire, Val d’Isère Alpine Spirit, claimed Reserve Champion with his fourth fleece. He is the son of the current leading coloured herdsire in the US, Red Granites Val d’Lsère, and the maternal grandson of Snowmass Matrix Rose.

Beyond his impressive lineage, Midnight charms with the most adorable attitude, behaving as if he already owns the place - a sentiment I have no doubt will become a reality…
If he's ready, we'll introduce him to a select group of dark coloured females during 2025 breeding season. He is turning into an impressive young male! He did his first breeding in October 2025, tho not confirmed yet if it was successful or not.
