Description

“Silas” has always been friendly and curious, and he is still a beautiful boy---valuable as a PR boy. Please come meet him, and I'm sure you'll agree!

Silas was on our show string with a beautiful jet black fleece; however, as his fleece developed, he gained white fibers throughout his blanket, and his hips and flanks are graying out. As we've decided to keep him, or sell him as an agritourism PR boy, we made the decision to have him gelded at 21 months of age, before his testosterone fully kicked in.

Due to the downsizing of our herd, Silas is for sale. Most of our Suri alpacas are for sale since we’ve decided to focus on our Huacaya breeding program. Pet and breeding packages are available. Reasonable offers will be considered.

His farm name is Silas, but it’s derived from the Latin name Silvanus, meaning “forest” or “woodlands”.

Financing Terms

Standard industry contracts are used. Breeding quality alpacas come with reproductive and live birth guarantees. You may take possession of your alpacas once the down payment is received and the “contract for purchase” signed by both parties. Transfer of ownership with ARI will not occur until full payment is received. Financing is available with 25 - 33% down, with up to 24 monthly payments. Buyer must purchase full mortality insurance for alpaca and offspring, if any, naming Man in the Moon Farm LLC as beneficiary on balance due until paid in full. Breedings include 60 day agistment unless otherwise noted. Special pricing often available for multiple alpaca purchases or multiple breeding purchase. Transportation responsibility of buyer. AUCTION & PACKAGED DEAL OFFERS: These are cash only unless different arrangements are made up front. No other discounts apply unless negotiated otherwise.
