While her pedigree, from top to bottom, sets a very solid foundation, the individual must still prove it, and Miss Alliance du DNA is doing exactly that. In every sense, she represents the next generation and a solid replacement for her aging dam.

As a rare daughter of Val d’Isere Alpine Spirit, making her a granddaughter of the one and only Red Granites Val D’Lsere, she carries strong genetics depth. Alliance is maternal sister to Judge’s Choice & 4x champion Noble Aviator du DNA.

When evaluating Alliance’s fleece, the most natural comparison would be to her removed cousin, Miss Azura du DNA, a statement not to take lightly considering the specimen Azura is… The density and fiber alignment that are consistent from shoulder to hip is almost unmatched here on our farm. With both her dam and sire that have maintained their positive fiber characteristics well beyond their 4th shearing, longevity is naturally expected on Alliance.

Alliance sits on a strong frame with solid bone density. Her proportions are correct, though we’re the first to acknowledge that the perfect alpaca does not exist, and is likewise a myth. Should we wish for more fiber coverage down to her legs and on her face? Yes. But we certainly won’t walk away from a female like this one without at least trying, even if she presents with a slightly more “primitive” look when it comes to fiber coverage. For her maiden breeding, she was breed "type-to-type" for fleece, with an emphasis on headstyle. If this works in real life like it does on paper, she should be a phenomenal producer!
