AWH Jump For Joy got her name as a cria when she leaped and bucked her way around the pasture. She was so adorable!
But we had no idea at the time that she would grow up to have a freckled face and dark brown spots down her neck and into her blanket! What a wonderful surprise this year when we sheared her and discovered her Appaloosa markings!
It really shouldn't be a surprise, I guess, since her maternal great-grandsire was Prince Greystone, who carried on his sire Condor's reputation for producing harlequins and appaloosas. Add to that the deep color genetics all around, going all the way back to MacGyver and Uribe.
