Although Savana looked dark fawn upon birth, we had a hunch she might turn out to be a roan as she was born with lighter colored fiber at the tip of her ears and tail. Around the 4 month mark and with a bit more fiber growth, we could certainly confirm that this girl was indeed roan!

It's a female for Savana's first cria! Just like her dam, Symphony has somewhat of a roan look as her fawn colour has smokey hues. She does have the white lips and tail tip just like her dam so she certainly is carrying some dilution factor which is typical to roaning.

Her fibre has a beautiful, almost silky handle, thanks to its great fineness and uniformity. She also has a very long staple length with a high frequency, highly defined crimp style; overall very pleased with this female fleece style and it will certainly evolve as she matures so we really look forward to her yearling fleece!

Symphony comes from a long line of champions in both solid and classic grey. Her sire Jophiel's pedigree blends the Pure Passion and Conopa lines which has produced many Champions and Judge Choices throughout the years. Her dam's pedigree blends the XXXtreme and Bomber lines which has steadily produced some of our best!

We look forward to seeing this female mature and although fawn is not our specialty, we might just include Symphony in our 2025 show string as we feel her fleece is worth showing!

UPDATE: Symphony does great at the 2025 Alpaga Québec show, in what was some of the toughest fawn classes we have ever witnessed in a show! Symphony scored a 68.5 on 80pts in the Walking Fleece and still ended up coming in 3rd place! We couldn't have asked for a better showing from her and we look forward to possibly showing her again next year!
