Description

In the world of alpaca breeding, patience is often a requirement rather than a virtue… After his dam, Miss Andean Sunrise du DNA, slipped her initial pregnancy in late 2023, we had to wait a year to be given a second chance, only to be met with a 363-day long gestation. Good things are worth waiting for, and A Kind of Magic du DNA lives up to that saying!

Magic is still very compact in his frame yet exhibits all the ideal body proportions of the huacaya breed. He’s a boxy little package and will most likely take his time to fully mature, but the same could be said about his fleece… The more we wait, the better he gets!

The extreme density matched with a greasy feel and fineness gives his fiber such a unique and supple, soft handle. Magic’s fleece truly glows, just like his dam’s. As he ages, his fleece is developing a higher frequency crimp style, instead of the “silky” style he initially possessed.

He comes from impeccable genetics on both sides, with his dam being one of the best we have ever produced, Miss Andean Sunrise du DNA (Supreme, 3x Champion, and Best Brightness winner), and his sire, Ariya Everlasting’s One of A Kind, a leading herdsire in the industry.
A Kind of Magic is a future little rockstar in the making… we must now wait for him to further develop!

This little stunner had an exceptional first show season being awarded 2 Reserve Championships in halter (next to a mature male), 1 Champion & 1 Supreme Champion in Walking Fleece! Glowing comments from all 3 judges. Very proud of this little guy!
