    ARI# 35222385 | DOB: 4/4/2017
4/10/17 Our first of the season, and what a guy. ARI # 35222385. Sawdust's Almond Thunder weighed a whopping 23.5 lbs at birth and is gaining a pound a day, a testament to his robust health and potential as a herdsire. Sawdust Alpacas is very pleased with this boy. He is a very well-put-together male with a significant phenotype and bone structure. His crimp style is passed on from his sire, Sunset Hill's Golden Thunder (ARI #31017435) and his dam, Skyline's Almond Joy (ARI # 32821666). His ...

We are excited to have this gorgeous girl in our program. WP ZORA (Med Rose Grey) has an outstanding pedigree. With WP VERTICASE'S VECTOR sire and GRAND RIVER CHALINA dam, this girl will be a perfect match with our farm. She has a strong, bold look and fabulous fleece density.

06/10/18 Zora will return to West Penn Alpacas to be bred to 2AF Zeus.

9/1/2019 ZORA'S Cria, Male, was born at 2:10pm, 365 days after being bred. A gorgeous boy, strong bone and very crimpy fiber. Outstan...

    Description

Our extraordinary surprise for the day!! Zora gave birth to this exceptional 19.6-pound male cria on 10/3/2025. With very straight conformation, crimpy fiber, and an energetic spirit, he's genuinely one of a kind. His name is Maclura (Mac). ARI # is pending as of 10/13/25. This guy will be a great show alpaca. He joins Ejan (born 9/22/25) and Koa (born 7/29/25), and the 3 are always together!

Maclura is a member of the Breadfruit family. Maclura is also known as Osage Orange. Osage trees grow in Texas, Oklahoma, and Arkansas. The Osage Indians used the wood to make their bows. The "Orange" in the name refers to the greenish-yellow fruit that resembles an orange in shape, texture, and scent but is not edible.
