    SIRE OF MANY GORGEOUS COLORED CRIA!

    Durango has phenominal PRESENCE, flawless conformation with incredible bone, a lovely head with huge dark eyes, extremely dense, crimpy fiber {great fiber character even now in his teens!} and FULL leg coverage giving new meaning to the phrase "stove pipe legs". Successful in the show ring himself, his offspring have won TOP awards at shows including BLUES in tough Level V competition. He a polite breeder who settles our females with one breeding. He has had a high female to male ratio here and consistently passes the color of the dam while improving fiber character {that desirable high frequency style we hear so much about} and density. The substantial improvement of bone, style and presence over very average dams is outstanding.

    Snowy is a blue-eyed white alpaca. This is occasionally the result of breeding white to grey and is fairly common in grey breeding programs, several breeders we know have produced one! When these girls are bred to solid darks they predictably produce great color and not a blue eyed white.

    Color isn't hard to imagine with Snowy's black toenails, black eyeliner and black palate. What a caring and big milking mother she is! This isn't surprising since she had always loved and played with ALL our cria. She is gentle {with us and her herdmates}, calm, friendly, loves apples and carrots out of your hand, and is our official farm greeter and PR girl.

    We bred her sire Cezanne six times and he gave us FIVE girls! Cezanne is half Accoyo out of the famous Accoyo female Hearts Desire. Cezanne's sire is the equally famous full Bolivian herdsire Wooly Bully. We have easily sold the other four daughters but are keeping Snowy. They all have great bone, are conformationally correct

    Description

    An incredibly DENSE, very crimpy, soft, full coverage fleece on this very friendly {gives kisses}, active, big boned, solid white, black eyed girl. It appears that her dam and sire are continuing their family traditions of criating girls! She is developing into a great looking girl.

    After recently handling Zoey, it appears that she is a white with a recessive black gene, her toenails and palate are jet black. This translates into a very versatile production girl. She will likely be able to produce white AND black. This is relatively rare and valuable as a breeding asset.

    Zoey is now bred for an Oct. 2011 Abraham Van Helsing cria.

    Zoey came to our farm in October from Virginia, so she has the orange look from the dirt there.
