    Nico is a 1/4 Accoyo through his Grandsire Felix. His Sire, Xanadu Peruvian Jazz is a very special 1/2 Accoyo @ Pine Forty. He has a very consistent fleece with a yearling stat of 21.6, 4.3 19.9 and 3.2%. The fleece still has a very nice staple length and density at 5 years old. His yarn is always the first to sell out if his raw fleece doesn't sell first! Nico loves attention and does get a little jealous if he is left out. Handles easily when haltered. Very healthy.

    Description

    This isn't just another white male. This guy has beautiful fleece that has amazing character,great density, fabulous shine and consistency. Our farm is focused on colored huacayas except for a few white accoyos so he does not fit our program. He is endowed with HUGE testicles and is ready to work for you. Reno has Accoyo Cordero, Accoyo Felix and Peruvian Jazz (1/2 Accoyo)behind him. His dam Benita is a gorgeous, regal light fawn 1/2 accoyo with dark pigment (killer eye-liner eyes!). Her fleece is still extremely crimpy, dense and fine after 4 cria.
    Reno placed 3rd (15 in class?)at the MN show with the judge saying that she wanted to put him in second due to his excellent fleece, however, he needs more vitamins to return his front legs to their former straightness. His legs are perfect now just like he was as a newborn. He was gaining a lb a day which is hard on the bone/muscle correlation.
    Reno has matured into such a nicely squared off male conformationally and the consistency in his fiber along with all the other attributes make this guy a steal as a herdsire for a farm that wants to focus on gleaming white and fawn fleeces that will be a spinners dream. Still barely a guardhair on him at 4 1/2.His yarn is the whitest white and just shines. A ton of fiber on this guy too. Check out his 4 yr fiber stats. A CV of 17.7 is remarkable on a breeding male of this age. Reno is well haltered trained and easy to handle. He would really appreciate his own farm and we had a record number of males born this year.

    3rd Place 2008 MN Alpaca Expo, 10 in class
    Reno was in a huge class at Spring Bling. Judge couldn't make up his mind between Reno and our boarders boy. Judge seemed confused in dismissing animals and placed our boarder's boy in 3rd and Reno was dismissed. The two are almost identical so probably would have placed 2nd or 4th.
