Thor has been a fabulous addition to the genetics of our herd. He is tame and gentle and passes that onto his offspring as well. His pedigree includes such greats as Dreadlock, Wooly Bully (import) and Queen Allante (import). He is 3/4 wooly so he adds a little fiber to his offspring as well. Thor is an 'Imperial- Royal' meaning he can throw an Imperial Trim which has the black nose. Thor is quite easy to 'work', he LOVES to be brushed and is quite cooperative in the squeeze chute and head gate. We feel very lucky that he trusts us so much...nothing like the love from a gentle giant!

Yarrow is our pride and joy here at HCC, her birth was a total surprise to us! She was born 8.5mo. after the death of her sire Sherpa H100. She was Sherpa's 50th and final calf born here and we could not have been more grateful, truly a gift from above and one that we could keep and breed to our new bull (Thor Y056). Yarrow's mama is our big beautiful Native Trim Yenna R076 whom we will be forever grateful to. As you can see Yarrow is an extremely good looking royal. She has beautiful markings, great conformation, and a gorgeous head and perfect horns. The best part of Yarrow is her personality...she certainly has her papa's tame and gentle side, she is curious, affectionate and loves people. We feel so lucky to have her in our lives.

Details

Here at High Country Critters we are celebrating 19 years in yaks!! We raise 'seed stock' calves for breeding, showing, fiber or just pasture pets. All calves are IYAK registered as Full Foundation (DNA certified), wormed, vaccinated (heifers get the Bang's Vax too) and well socialized with people to the point of petting, scratching and brushing. We can create breeding pairs or starter herds with other local ranchers and those groups can be weaned here together so they are buddies prior to be delivered or picked up. We provide a 10 page Yak Care Guide as well as Nutritional requirements. We work with you as long as you own yaks, references available upon request. We currently have two Royal (black and white) 2019 yak calves for sale. They will be ready to go when weaned about 5mo. old.... a 25% deposit will hold them till delivery or pickup...

Yolaf Van Horn is the name of the little royal bull calf, he was born here 5/3 to our home grown girl Yarrow A033. She was the last calf sired from our famous 'Sherpa H100' and she is tame as a dog! Our gorgeous friendly bull Thor Y052 is the sire to Yolaf, he just loves the calves and even babysits for the mama's. Yolaf's price is $220000. OBO. We will deliver within a 150mi. radius for free.

*Note...make an offer, will consider trades/credit for farm equipment, ATV, etc...


Purchase Terms

25% down to hold Yolaf until delivery or pickup. Can arrange for a heifer calf/calves to go with Yolaf. Careful considerations of pedigrees are done by HCC to insure no incidence of inbreeding will be created prior to pairing up.
