Willow

Saanen/LaManchaSr. Doe (female)White
DOB: 3/5/20188 yrs
Willow was a really lucky trade with another local farmer. I wasn't interested in getting another doeling to begin with, but then I saw her pedigree... You just can't argue when both of her parents came from the incomparable Tempo Passa herd! So I brought her home and she freshened with one of the most well-attached udders I've ever seen in real life... A year later I decided to let go of my LaMancha crosses to focus on my Saanseys, but I have found ways to keep those genetics around! Her granddaughter, Aspen, is (hopefully) going to give me my new herd sire this spring... Fingers crossed!

Details

Marilyn is the cross of two very exciting goats that I brought in.
Her dam, Willow, is 3/4 Saanen and 1/4 LaMancha from the incomparable Tempo Passa herd in Oregon.
Her sire, Paladin, was 3/4 Sable 1/4 LaMancha from Trinity Valley Farm in Washington and was the grandson of the all-time milk production record holder for sables...
This combination, while unconventional, gave me everything I wanted from the cross. Marilyn is a powerhouse of a doe with a fantastic udder and excellent production. Unfortunately, right after she was born, I decided to sell all of my LaMancha-cross goats and one of my close friends has her now. But I get babies back now and then! I figure 1/8 LaMancha is low enough ;)
