Yearling FF Yearling Sorry for the angle. FF udder FF udder Perfect teats for hand or machine milking! Rare full side udder view as she scratched her face. Attachments on this girl are great! Spectacular topline, even when standing weird Half-full udder pic to showcase the teat placement issue.

Echo was a very exciting animal to bring into my herd. His genetics are hard to beat!! His FF dam Timandra (pictured) produced 12.1lbs on milk test at just 6 weeks fresh! Timandra's dam, Tinuviel, had a solid 2800lb peak production year, and has consistently produced daughters with higher production that herself (including Timandra's full sister who produced 4130 lbs/milk in a 344 day lactation). Echo's sire, Yankee Doodle (pictured), is an Elite buck, scoring 92 EEE! Doodle's dam (pictured) produced an incredible 5267 lbs/milk, 193 lbs/butterfat and 176 lbs/protein in a 310 day lactation as a 3 year old... Absolutely staggering. Doodle's daughters are coming out extremely impressive as well. The milk test info that I have access to (thank you Copper Penny Ranch!), has a couple of his daughters producing 3285lb in 275 DIM (Days In Milk) and 4020lb in 320 DIM... My only freshened daughter of his (so far) has a very pretty udder and is producing nearly a gallon a day at only 7 weeks fresh. I'm very impressed with her! Unfortunately, Echo passed away the January after I got him. His 4 precious daughters will be very important in my herd moving forward, and one of their 2022 bucklings will be my new herd sire.

Nubbie

Nubbie

SaanseyBuck (male)White
DOB: 2/19/20224 yrs
With one chunky lil scur and a mom named Nugget, we just HAD to go with the silly name for this little man! I actually sold Nubbie as a baby, but then bought him back a few weeks later, just to breed him to TWO of my does who needed what his dam has. Which is a high, tight, wide and capacious udder that produced over a gallon a day as a 2yo FF! I can't wait to see what I get when I breed him to Klae (who needs more lateral attachments) and Gypsy (who needs an udder with better teat placement). The Gypsy cross will also be line-breeding on my gorgeous Saanen buck that I lost, Echo. Gypsy is an Echo daughter and Nubbie is a grandson. And since Echo's dam had PERFECT balance and teat placement, I'm very excited :) **Funny thing... Nubbie's dam, Nugget, was born incredibly small and is still my smallest Saansey. Nubbie was born normal-sized and was growing fast, but while at his interim home he got weaned early and now he's small for his age too... Won't make any difference in his babies, but I still find it interesting.

Gypsy is such a special girl to me. She was given to me by a dear, dear friend just days after I lost Gypsy's sire. <3

In a barn full of wonderful goats, she has my favorite personality in the herd. She just seems CHEERFUL all the time, and she has a teasing sparkle in her eye that always makes me smile.
She is also such an eye-catching girl. Anytime the goats are eating and I find myself admiring a perfect topline, it's Gypsy's. She has such a strong, level back, blending beautifully into a wide, flat rump. Just gorgeous.

She freshened as a yearling in August '21 with a very pretty udder. She's currently on an extended lactation and I'm very impressed with her consistency. She produced 6-7 pounds a day after kidding, dropped to 5-6 pounds a day through the winter, and increased to over 8 pounds in the springtime without any prompting. She's also very healthy, has incredible body capacity, and is a clever and motivated forager.
And if that wasn't enough, she's very easy to milk, with well-shaped teats and large orifices. Her teats aren't placed as well as Klae and Fern's are, but being a steady, easy milker with a great personality means that I don't expect to let go of her anytime soon...

Breeding Plans:
This fall I'm very excited to breed Gypsy to Nubbie, who is a buckling of Nugget and Timbre. Nugget has fantastic attachments and dead-center teats, along with being Gypsy's half sister (both are out of a VERY impressive Saanen buck). Hopefully line-breeding on a buck that carries perfect teat placement will help balance Gypsy's udder.

She will be bred in October '22 and I will be retaining any doelings she has. Excellent buckling prospect!
