Timbre is a hugely appreciated buck from Treasured Sunrise Acres in Parma, Idaho. She was willing to cross a few of her prize Saanen does with wonderful Guernsey bucks to create my next generations of Saanseys. Timbre is such a handsome boy, and has the classic Guernsey personality. Gentle, quiet, easy to handle, and non-destructive. His daughters are just as kind, and he stamps every single one of them with gorgeous flat wide rumps. I've been waffling for months about selling him, he is SO sweet and I really enjoy having him around. But with 6 of his progeny in my herd (including a son) and nobody for him to breed this year, it just doesn't make sense to keep him...

Cadence

Saanen/GuernseyJr. Doe (female)White
DOB: 6/6/20206 yrs
My only complaint about Cadence's mama, Rhythm, was that her milk production was "fine". So I bred Rhythm to a Saanen buck with ROCKSTAR milk production lines and got my gorgeous Cadence. This sweet girl, at just 3 weeks fresh, was already producing more than her mama ever did! I had planned to keep her for a long time, but I had to make hard cuts this year and she's not a "true" Saansey according to my definition. So I kept her daughter (a 1st gen Saansey) and homed her with a good friend just down the road from me.

Hard to get a picture of this girl, since she just wants to quietly follow me everywhere... Sweet baby.

Dancer is 3rd generation my breeding, and her personality is exactly what I breed for. Calm, quiet, and gentle.
Dancer had a steady lactation, producing 5-7lb a day through her entire first freshening. She's a bit of a picky eater (which is why she occasionally drops to 5lb) and she's daintier than I would like, but her udder is great. She has teats that are perfect for hand-milking, and she stands like a rock on the milkstand.
She's just a sweet, easy, gentle girl that's a pleasure to spend time with.

Sale note:
I ended up selling Dancer because she's a picky eater. She was a great producer and a sweet girl, but I couldn't switch up my feed regimen every time she got bored with the grain... So I sold her to a good friend of mine who is just starting out in goats, where she'll get absolutely spoiled!

Sometimes it's not about whether a goat is good. It's whether the goat thrives in your farm's environment.
