For a number of years I worked on establishing my doe herd, looking for consistency in mammary, breed characteristics and personality. Primarily because I keep a small herd and I want to love milking them. Now, with the doe herd in place I selected Magnum to bring specific improvements in the next generation. His sire, GG Dreamer brings width, length and his dam's snuggly attached udder holding up strong at 11 years old. And then I just fell in love with GG Maggie's beautiful udder, MDGA Top Ten list accomplishments in volume and butterfat, and near perfect conformation. With 2 kids on the ground I can say that I'm very pleased so far with the front end width, topline and rumps. Next, to freshen those girls in 2024 and confirm increase in milk production and continued enhancement to the easy to milk, soft, pliable udders with strong attachments. Excited to have Magnum as our main breeding buck - should give me plenty of time to get a good picture!
