Samara is really filling out this year with nice brisket and length of body. Her breeding did not take for 2022, so I'm looking forward to 2023 to confirm her udder quality is up to her dam Sonflower Ranch Aspen. Her sire has some great milk and udders in his lines so I'm very hopeful. In following a tree theme for the names of Aspen's offspring it took me a while to come up with Samara's name. Until one day when I realized she rarely walked in a straight line, but spun around, up and down, and over various real and imagined obstacles. She was like the maple tree seeds I played with as a child. I looked up the name of those seeds and quickly determined that would be Samara's name.
