Winner is an impressive little dude with stellar bloodlines! I drove several hours to pick him up to cover my girls this year, and he's already done it! His first two covers were over a month ago (when he was only 6 months old), and they have not come back into heat. He's successfully covered more does since then. Very competent buckling. He's also a quiet, mellow boy that is easy to deal with. He is respectful of personal space, and he doesn't charge through gates. His bloodlines are from Tempo Passa, and they're amazing. His dam (Tempo Passa ET Solo Win) is a powerhouse milker, and his AI sire (SG Spinning Spider Honky Tonkin) has some of the most gorgeous daughters I've ever seen. Now that he's done his job, it's time for him to move on <3 **Photo credits to Tempo Passa Farm and Spinning Spider Creamery.

It's taken me months to add Turquoise on here, because I still can't believe she's mine... 5ish years ago I noticed this lovely girl at Treasured Sunrise Acres in Idaho, and I've been obsessed with her ever since. She caught my eye immediately with her level topline, long rump and strong pasterns. But what clinched it was her udder... The vast majority of Guernseys that I see, have poor udder attachments and teat placement. But not only was Turquoise's udder strong and balanced, but she only got better with age!! For 5 years I tried to get a buckling from her, but my 3 favorite bucks at TSA were all closely related to her, so there was just never a breeding that I was really excited about... Finally I gave up on getting a buckling, and just started messaging Jolene every few months asking if Turquoise was for sale yet. Apparently (luckily) she found me charming instead of annoying, and eventually let me buy her. It's the most I've ever paid for a goat by far, but I had to have her... First I bred her to a friend's Saanen and prayed for bucklings (got twin does of course), then I bought a fancy Saanen buck and got a SINGLE doeling. Sigh. I've already purchased a buckling for this next season. All my fingers and toes crossed, I'll get a couple unrelated herd sires for my herd moving forward!! All of her babies will be retained forever amen.

Year two with Turquoise, and Nickel is my third doeling.

Oh well, she's lovely!

***One of her older sisters is going to a friend that helped me buy Turquoise, and the other (my keeper) I've named Penny.
Penny and Nickel; my tongue-in-cheek reference to the pennies on the dollar I'm getting back from my investment in trying to get a buckling.
Ain't I just hilarious??! Hahaha *sob
