Sire:

our stunning yet gentle herd bull...

HPY Thor Y052 (at HCC)

Bull (male)Royal
IYAK - Foundation# Y052, WHYC# Y052DOB: 7/13/201114 yrs
Thor has been a fabulous addition to the genetics of our herd. He is tame and gentle and passes that onto his offspring as well. His pedigree includes such greats as Dreadlock, Wooly Bully (import) and Queen Allante (import). He is 3/4 wooly so he adds a little fiber to his offspring as well. Thor is an 'Imperial- Royal' meaning he can throw an Imperial Trim which has the black nose. Thor is quite easy to 'work', he LOVES to be brushed and is quite cooperative in the squeeze chute and head gate. We feel very lucky that he trusts us so much...nothing like the love from a gentle giant!

Cow (female)Native Trim
IYAK - Foundation# 2G005, WHYC# 2G005DOB: 7/3/20196 yrs
Little Miss Yulu is quite the looker! She has lots of white on her face, that comes all the way down to the tip of her nose. At birth it looked like a 'funnel cloud' on her face. The white on her chest starts high and runs all the way under her belly and between her back legs. She has white sock and a white stocking on her rear legs with white on the tip of her tail. I just love her beautiful Native Gray muzzle too. She has a nice heavy coat and will be a gorgeous mama someday! Yulu arrived as a very special gift here at HCC in July 2019. We had purchased her mama Melissa Z053 to Shiva 2D024 from Coal Bank Creek Livestock. We wanted Melissa to keep a bloodline going that was near and dear to our heart. Her grandpa was our Sherpa H100 and grandma was our Yo-yo K004 both purchased in 2000. Yo-yo was from the imported Sargent Pepper line. Melissa and now her daughter Yulu are helping us to keep that famous bloodline going. Sherpa had '5 wives' in his day and we now have daughters, grand daughters and a great granddaughters to all 5 cows to breed with our magnificent Thor Y052. Our breeding plans have come full circle.

Yosco P. Coltrane, (from Dukes of Hazard) is my personal buddy of the 2025 calves, he just loves me (Lynda) he follows me around like a dog! He has a nice think coat, plus he is adorable and affectionate! I just wish he could live in the house!!!! He is going to be a drop dead gorgeous bull, he has a nice square frame...great conformation. He should take on the size of his papa Thor YO52, his dam Yulu 2G005 was born here and is a Native trim with lots of bling... white (chest and belly). She goes back to a famous bull named Sargent Pepper C001 who was imported into the US and was the very first yak ever registered with IYAK.

Yosco loves to be scratched and brushed, he will lay down when getting his ears rubbed. He will be registered with WHYC just like his sire Thor YO52 and his dam Yulu 2G005. The World Heritage Yak Conservancy is dedicated to preserving, promoting, and protecting the heritage yak, a critically endangered breed in North America.

Our goal here at HCC is to only breed and produce the true 'pure' yak, as we have for 24 yrs. No hybrids, no inbreeding, Yosco will make an excellent Foundation herd sire for the serious yak rancher dedicated to the breed. He is weaned, wormed, vaccinated and ready to go. We can create starter herds with the help of local ranchers and will deliver for free within a 150-mile radius, please call or email for more info on Yosco P. Coltrane.

*NOTE* I have found registerable heifers to go with Yosco...call me.
