Let it Snow

Harry is growing and his fleece is so crimpy and beautiful

Harry is growing and his fleece is so crimpy and beautiful

It may be chilly outside and getting ready to snow (oh well, we need it). Our weather here is unpredictable. However, everyone outside is just fine. Our happy alpacas are wearing their finest natural coats (alpaca fleeces are three times warmer than wool). They're enjoying locally grown second cut grass hay, fresh water and have been treated recently to carrots and grain from the generosity of ranch visitors who recently gave them extra lovings and attention. With every visit, they put on an "act" like they've never been fed before. It's hysterical!

Anyway ... let it snow, and let their fleeces grow!

This winter, I'll be spinning more yummy yarn, and I'll continue to knit more unique hats and headbands. Our living room will also have a loom or two in here while I design more scarves as current ones "fly" out of the Paca Shop. It's fun to challenge myself to try new things, and "wet felting" is one of those things to come.

We want to take a moment to thank you for supporting us in 2023. This alpaca dream of ours wouldn't be possible without the love and support of family, ranch visitors and friends, new and old.

Our New Year's Eve will be spent with our alpacas, chickens, doggies, cats, and each other!  We feel blessed to be living the "alpaca life" and having the good health to do so. M and I look forward to seeing what 2024 brings us.

We wish you all a Happy New Year!

M and Diena
