Welcome Alpaca Lovers!
At Homestead Arts Farm, we LOVE our alpacas! Our 32-acre farm began in 2019 with the purchase of our first four alpacas. We immediately fell in love with these beautiful animals. Our herd has grown significantly and so have our facilities.
Our new barn features a farm store boutique with many fine alpaca products such as baby alpaca scarves, alpaca hats, socks and gloves. Hand-knit items and many gift items are available. Our beautiful yarns are a delight for visitors who are amazed at the natural color and softness.
The farm is also home to the Homestead Blacksmith, where classes are taught throughout the year. Beginning students learn forging skills while completing projects such as fire pokers and hot dog forks. Many blacksmith-made items are available in the store.
What guests say about us.......
Mark and Lori were the most gracious hosts!! Mark gave us a tour of the farm, which included feeding the cutest, most gentle Alpacas you could possibly imagine. Mark designs his own metalwork as a blacksmith. He's so very talented in many fields. We shelled corn for and fed the chickens. Lori crafts her own knitting with the Alpaca wool. She weaves beautiful scarves and table runner, too. The yarns she has in the store are superb. If you run out of yarn during a project, you wouldn't call and ask for a specific dye lot. You'd ask for the name of the Alpaca who gave that color. This Harvest Host is a must! (John)
The Alpacas were as friendly as their owners. The farm and the animals were immaculate. What an awesome experience. Thank you Mark and Lori. (Tom)
I can’t emphasize enough how wonderful Lori and Mark are. They immediately greeted us upon arrival and gave us a tour around the entire homestead. We saw all the animals and got to “play” with some alpaca. We got lucky to meet Charlie, the newest addition to farm, and feed him. Lovely place to stay, shop, and feel loved by animals. (Kelly)
Loved meeting April the Alpaca and her family and friends. The hosts Lori and Mark educated us on the care and raising of alpaca and sheep and their wool. Loved learning more about blacksmithing and seeing the craftsmanship. We found a lovely pair of alpaca wool gloves and had a peaceful night's sleep. Highly recommend these hosts.

What A beautiful new facility for learning. (June)
