Our Philosophy at LT-Farm

We are a Retired Military family that had a small hobby farm located in Northwest Alabama. We raise Duel Registered Nigerian Dwarf Dairy Goats (ADGA, AGS) as well as raising NPIP Inspected Chickens. We participate in ADGA Production Testing, LA and Showing both Bucks and Does.

At LT-Farm, our heart is in raising goats that fit beautifully into family and homestead life. We love seeing our girls go to homes where they’ll be treasured, milked, hugged by kids, and truly loved. While we do have animals with strong show potential, our focus has never been just ribbons—it’s about creating dependable, healthy, and happy goats that thrive in real-life homes.

Homestead First

Most of our goats are sold to families and homesteaders who want reliable milk, loving personalities, and strong maternal instincts. These buyers are our people—folks who want a goat to be part of their everyday life, not just their show string. When one of our girls leaves for her new home, we want to know she’ll be valued for who she is, not passed along if she doesn’t win a ribbon, however we do love when they earn them.

Not every doe is the “perfect show doe,” but every single one has value. Some of our most beloved girls are brood does who quietly do the hard work of producing strong, healthy kids year after year. They may never step foot in a show ring, but they build the foundation for future generations. We celebrate those girls just as much as our champions.

Breeding With Purpose

For us, breeding is an art and a joy. We carefully consider which buck is the right match for each doe, always looking for ways to balance strengths and bring out the best in the next generation. Every pairing has a purpose, and we’re excited to watch those kids grow and thrive.

We do occasionaly sale Bred Does, if the Pregnancy Holds and the doe delivers kids they want to register, then we change a one-time Service Memo Fee of $100 per Bred Doe. We don't charge per kid, just per breeding.

Our goats get lots of top quality Orchard Grass/Alfalfa hay, browse freely in their pasture and around the farm, enjoy grain at milking time, and are given free choice minerals and fresh water several times a day. Most importantly, they get lots of love. We form personal bonds with our goats and know each of them by their sounds. We Dam raise our kids unless they need emergency intervention or they are from our Show String (hybrid raised) and spends hours with them each day. Please contact us to set up a Farm Tour.
