Welcome to Salt + Light Acres
Megan and Josh Knights are the owners of Salt + Light Acres, located in the quaint town of Saluda, NC. The small family farm started with the primary goal of becoming more self-sufficient. What started with just three chickens, has grown into a diverse homestead. They breed ADGA Nigerian Dwarf goats. They raise AOA Suri alpacas, ducks and chickens, as well. The owners love to share their knowledge about homesteading with others and they want to be good stewards of what their animals provide. The most abundant resource is the raw goat milk from their herd and they have been creating products that include goat milk soap, lotions and bath soaks. This has quickly grown from a hobby, to a small business and is their secondary goal. It couldn’t be done without the support of other small business owners, who want to bring locally made products to their communities.
Our Small Family Farm
We are located in Western NC. We breed [ADGA registered] Nigerian Dwarf goats. We have alpacas, organic fed ducks and chickens, as well.
We offer fresh eggs and raw goat milk. We create goat milk soaps, lotions and bath soaks. As well as, beard oils.
