Welcome to Goshen Meadows Alpaca Farm!
Our journey began in 2013 after I (Sue) met Ray and Laurie McDonald of McPaca Ranch at a local craft fair, where I first learned about alpacas and their luxurious fiber. Intrigued, I attended an alpaca show in Fort Worth, TX, and quickly became captivated by the idea of alpaca farming, though I had to convince Lee that this was our next adventure. Over the next six years, we researched alpaca care, visited farms, and attended conferences, learning how to build a successful, sustainable business while responsibly caring for the land and animals. In 2019, we found the perfect 7-acre plot just outside Sanger, TX, and by the end of 2020, we had built our house and barn. Our first alpacas arrived in October 2021, and with a mix of excitement and nerves, Goshen Meadows Alpaca Farm was born.
