Welcome to Firwood Farm Alpacas and Rescue
We have been alpaca owners since 2006 and have been rescuing and rehoming alpacas since 2012.
Our goal is to take in alpacas needing homes, provide them with great nutrition and vet care if needed, then find loving forever homes for them.
We are open to the public by appointment for visitors from May through September and our gift shop is filled with items made from alpaca fiber such as yarn, socks, hats, gloves, scarves and even stuffed animals.
Our alpaca rescue mission continues because of support from paid visitors, purchases in our gift shop, attendees of our Alpaca Yoga classes and generous donations.
Yes, Alpacas Need Rescuing
We have been rescuing and rehoming alpacas since 2012.
Where do we find alpacas to rescue?
We don't go looking, they find us. We are typically contacted by owners who need to rehome their alpacas due to life changes and we have also worked with four Animal Control agencies in Pierce, King, Thurston and Snohomish counties.
Animal Control seizures for cruelty or neglect are typically a longer rehabilitation process before finding them a home or, unless we have experienced adopters, these alpacas may live out their lives with us.
