Welcome to Caramel Creek Select Alpacas & Pacadoodles
Caramel Creek Select Suris was established in 2009, by owner April Chestnut. Not new to the alpaca business, April learned the ins and outs of the industry with Acorn Acres Alpaca Farm, dealing exclusively with huacayas. One suri grew to eleven in about 5 months and a proper suri farm was created. In 2020 the two farms merged and CCSS became Caramel Creek Select Alpacas.
Prestigious genetics have resulted in CCSA's winning Champion Black Hucaya male, Champion White Huacaya male, Champion Multi Huacaya male, Reserve Champion Black Suri female, Reserve Champion White Suri male & female, Champion Brown Suri female, as well as Best of Show Suri Fleece, and the awards have just kept coming with ribbons in Fawn, Brown, and Multi.
In 2019, Pacadoodles was created with the addition of a Sheepadoodle and a Bernedoodle to the alpaca herd. Sheepadoodles are a mix of Old English Sheepdogs with Poodles. Bernedoodles are a mix of the Bernese Mountain dog and poodle. By mixing the two doodles wonderful family pets are created that are smart, friendly, playful and cuddly. The added bonus is that the OES and poodle breeds don’t shed so the doodles have little to no shedding. All the pups are raised as house dogs and are sold as such.
