WELCOME to Cria Creations - we're a small farm that has been raising alpacas for over 20 years. Our goal has been to breed quality alpacas both for fiber and genetic growth. We have kept the care and comfort of our animals at the center of all we do, they are such gentle animals and a joy to be around.
Our farm is centrally located between Austin and San Antonio, just minutes away from Canyon Lake on 10 acres filled with native grasses, cedars and spanish oaks. When we first purchased our land we had no idea that we'd be getting involved in the Alpaca Industry. We enjoy working with the animals and expanding our knowledge, from partnering with other farms to learning about and working with the fiber. We believe that our farms greatest asset is the love and care we give our Alpacas. These adoring animals are much more than a business, they not only captured our hearts but have given us those much needed peaceful and relaxed moments we look forward to every day.
The Alpacas themselves are easy to care for. Their needs are basic; shade, water, food, shelter and responsible herd health. There are many small farms out there, each with different set-ups, ranging from simple to complex. What's important is not how fancy yours is but that it works for you and the animals. We've learned to take things slow, learning as we grow & believing the more informed todays buyer/breeder is the more successful they will become. Fast Forward to 20 years later, we are now retired and have reduced our herd to 6 alpacas and 2 livestock guard dogs. Looking back to lessons learned, one of the best thing we ever did was partner with other small farms, sharing resources and experiences, not to mention a helping hand when needed. Purchaser may take possession of Alpaca(s) upon payment in full.
Upon final payment ARI certificate will be transfered to purchaser.
