Welcome to Great American Alpacas where you will find quality Alpacas with excellent genetics. Although we are a smaller ranch, we are able to offer outstanding Alpacas in packages and individually in a varied color schema. Rick and I both work in full time professions, however, we provide daily "hands on" attention to our herd which results in healthy animals with easy going behaviors. We also provide before, during and after the sale mentorship to assist new owners in caring for the animals. We have been in the Alpaca business since 2003, when we began with our first female, Isabella. At that time, we were living in the city of San Antonio and adjisted her at a ranch. We had planned to continue with this arrangement; however, enjoyed the ownership and the benefits of the fiber, so we found suitable land and here we are today!
Our breeding program strives to produce the best fiber available. The Alpacas have won many place awards for conformation and fleece.
Our ranch is located on the Northeast side of San Antonio, conveniently located between IH 35 and I10 in Marion, TX on 10 acres. We have a boutique, "Alpacas & More" that offers all levels of this wonderful fiber, from raw fleece to wonderful, stylish garments.
